Our nickel plating gives a smart, long-lasting finish that improves both the look and life of your items. From classic cars and motorcycles to marine parts and household pieces, our skilled team restores and plates with care so every item leaves looking its best and built to last.
Bring your parts back to their original beauty with a finish loved since the pre-war era. Nickel has a warm, soft glow that rivals modern chrome, and you can choose polished, brushed, or satin for a timeless, elegant result.
Nickel plating (nickel electroplating) puts a thin coat of nickel on metal or plastic to make parts tougher, longer-lasting, and better looking. It can be done two ways: electroless plating, which uses a chemical bath, or electrolytic plating, which uses an electric current. Both improve corrosion and wear resistance and are often used as a base layer for other finishes. It works on steel, copper, brass, and aluminium, and is common in cars, aircraft, electronics, and general manufacturing.
Our second-stage nickel can be used as the final finish, which is authentic for early cars that didn’t use chrome. Many people also favour nickel’s warmer tone over chrome for door furniture and other household fittings.
Nickel electroplating adds what the base material lacks. The nickel layer bonds tightly to the part, increasing surface hardness and improving resistance to wear, abrasion and corrosion. It can be a final finish or an undercoat, and it works well with other metals (such as copper) to build layered systems that stick firmly and last longer.
It’s a cost-effective, high-throughput process available as electrolytic or electroless plating (the electroless route uses no electricity, so it’s more energy-efficient). Both give reliable, even coverage at scale and a smart appearance. Choose a bright or dull/satin look to suit the job—either way, it lifts both performance and aesthetics.
