Cumbria Electroplating restores and re-chromes motorcycle parts for projects of every kind — from pre-war machines to custom builds with heavy chrome. Our team handles thousands of parts each year, giving tired metal a fresh, lasting finish.
We can plate small and large components alike: brake levers, foot pegs, exhaust sections, frames, and more.
Got a restoration on the go — or a single part that needs re-chroming? Get in touch with Cumbria Electroplating. We’ll make it easy.
We accept exhausts and petrol tanks on the understanding that they are thoroughly cleaned by the customer before delivery. Processing is carried out entirely at the customer’s risk and is not covered by any warranty. As these components may harbour contaminants, meticulous cleaning is essential before they enter our facility.
We can also process die-cast items (Mazak/“monkey metal”), again strictly at the customer’s risk. Owing to the alloy’s low melting point, meaningful repair without melting is not possible; therefore, no guarantee can be offered on work involving this metal.
Door furniture revival is what we do, day in, day out, with hundreds of bespoke orders completed each year; whether you want an authentic period look—such as Nickel on Art Deco pieces—or a clean, contemporary update, we can restore the original finish or replate to match your scheme, and from hotel doors and retro cinema fittings to super-yacht refits, Michelin-star restaurants and private homes, we deliver a flawless finish on projects large and small.
Can’t find the exact finish on new parts? We’ll replate them to suit — so everything matches perfectly.
Whether it’s a full property refresh or a single handle that needs attention, Cumbria Electroplating is ready to help.
We specialise in restoring and re-chroming boat parts and fittings — from cleats and hooks to railings, horns, and winches. Few things beat a freshly restored deck with bright, mirror-finish hardware, and we work on marine projects every week. We also have deep experience with Lewmar winch restoration and re-plating, and we’re happy to take on smaller jobs for a fast turnaround.
Got a refit underway, winches that need attention, or just a couple of parts to re-chrome? Cumbria Electroplating can help.
Refresh tired taps or change their finish to suit your décor. We repair leaks and damage from cleaning agents, and bring worn fittings back to life. Refurbished originals often look and perform better than many new replacements. Matching new fittings to existing bathware can be tricky — in many cases, restoring what you have is simpler and more cost-effective than replacing suites or changing tiles and flooring.
We work on beautifully made pieces as well as standard modern fittings. If the style you want isn’t available in your preferred finish, we can replate new parts to match. Choose Chrome, Nickel, or Copper.
